• oxygen is vital for combustion, the cooler the air the more oxygen enters the engine
• thus, improving performance
• works much like a radiator
• ensures less turbo lag
• very efficient

Of course, there can be a few problems that arise with intercoolers. They are: –

• Leaking hoses
• Overheating
• Oil contamination

This results in a noticeable drop in power and performance, increased fuel consumption, smoke from the exhaust.
