How does the Unichip PPTOY47.8X-20 work on your Suited Toyota Hilux?

Boost Control:

• • Boost control allows your engine to produce more revolutions per minute (rpm) with more power, for the most part increasing your boost.
  • Unichip has a complete 3D control over boost pressure across the engine’s entire operating range.
  • The Unichip-trained technician can increase the boost pressure as required resulting in much more power.
  • Further more boost control keeps the Air Fuel Ratios within a safe limit.

• Injector timing:

  • The injector timing is a unique feature of the Unichip PPTOY47.8X-20 .
  • It controls the exact time the injectors open to achieve optimised fuel burn.
  • Thus resulting in lower exhaust gas temperatures and greater engine longevity.

• Fuel Control:

  • The Fuel Rail pressure is the simplest way to increase power on a turbo diesel.
    • NOTE: However there are rules to follow when increasing fuel rail pressure, these are taken into consideration by all of our trained Unichip Authorised agents.

• Throttle Booster:

  • Another feature of the Unichip Uni-x ECU – PPTOY47.8X-20 is its capability to achieve faster throttle response and reduce turbo lag.
  • It is possible to pay upward of $800 for a pedal booster kit.  Yet, this is a standard feature in the Unichip Australia Plug & Play.
  • Resulting in faster acceleration from a complete stop, and throughout the RPM range.

• Water temp Protection:

  • Another “built-in” safety feature of the new Unichip Uni-x ECU is we now can monitor engine temp via the coolant temperature sensor.
  • This allows the Authorised Unichip agent to manipulate the tune on a sliding scale as the engine temperature rises.
    • So when the engine temperature rises the Unichip Uni-x ECU will intercept the signal.   Which in turn removes the fuel, boost, and timing, slowly and in a controlled fashion.  Ensuring maximum power and torque output are maintained without compromising the engine.

  • After installation of the Unichip – PPTOY47.8X-20 we have the option to enable up to 5 map select settings tailored to your requirements.
    • e.g., High Power Map, Towing Map, Standard Map, Immobiliser Map, or Even a High Boost or Low Boost Map.
