TOYOTA LANDCRUISER VDJ 76 78 79 SERIES V8 TURBO STAINLESS HIGH FLOW 4″ AIRBOX
Did you know that it took PatrolDocta 8 months of development, prototyping and testing, before they could release the Landcruiser VDJ V8 air box upgrade.
The Toyota Landcruiser high flow air intake ensures the unit is 100% sealed, offering greater airflow improvement. Another feature is it bolts directly onto the original mounting holes.
It comes with the factory look rubber join from the lid of the air box to the engine. As well as the required hose clamps making the plumbing as simple as it can get.
The Toyota Landcruiser VDJ 76 78 79 series air box is a third bigger than the original. It uses the 200 series Toyota Land Cruiser air cleaner element.
This makes the Landcruiser VDJ V8 air box much larger with a much larger filter element. The funnel design 5-inch outlet lid has made a massive improvement of the airflow. Test results showed a flowing 41% greater than the factory filter!
The Landcruiser VDJ 76 78 79 V8 air box is set up with the big exhaust/dump pipe. There are a wide selection of tunes available for this model of Toyota. It is possible to achieve big power gains overall.
At the lowest point on the Landcruiser VDJ airbox is a Donaldson Vacuator water drain valve to ensure any water that enters the snorkel and runs down to the airbox drains back out.
There is also a 4-inch snorkel available for this model and offer the Toyota 79 series airbox and snorkel in kit form.
Fitting to the original snorkel does require a modification to the snorkel joiner in the inner guard.
