Ignition Timing Control: As with fuel control factory cars come with the ignition timing a long way away from ideal. With the Unichip we can optimise the ignition timing across the entire rev range, with Unichip “LIVE” timing and fuel adjustments are possible, this is the only true way of determining the best possible timing and fuel setting at each load site. Ultimately this will give the car more power, more torque and greater fuel economy. If the owner chooses to run premium unleaded fuel we can set the tune to take full advantage of the higher quality fuel.
Throttle Manipulation: Many new cars are “Drive by wire” meaning the throttle is now electronically controlled via the E.C.U. Not driven by a cable any more. With this control manufacturers are now controlling the amount of throttle opening and limiting throttle opening in some cases up to 75%!

Map Select : This option enables the 5 map capability of the Unichip Q4. This means you can access the 5 maps which can be tailored to your requirements. EG, High octane Map, low octane map, Standard Map, Immobiliser Map or even a race fuel map. Speak to your Authorised Unichip agent to tailor 5 tunes to suit your application.
Cold Air Intake
Unique One-Piece Housing:The smooth one-piece sealed housing with auxiliary air scoop is used to eliminate the use of multiple-piece housings and ensure the coolest air intake charge available. A urethane plug is also included for those cold weather applications where you want to block the auxiliary air scoop. A large, clear sight window is used for a hassle-free filter inspection and an aggressive style.
Roto-molded Tube:This System uses a CAD designed, dyno-tuned, roto-molded intake tube to achieve maximum power gains while maintaining a perfect fit.
Huge 7-Layer Performance Air Filter:The Momentum GT intake is designed around a pre-oiled, large 9" oval 360 degree radial flow performance air filter with 5-layers of progressive cotton media with 2-layers of progressive synthetic media providing 99.7% cumulative efficiency for maximum filtration. (US PAT 06811588) The unique air filter to housing interface (patent pending) allows for maximum filter size which increases the available air volume while simplifying the installation process.
Custom Silicone Crankcase Vent Adaptor:A custom reinforced silicone crankcase vent adaptor is included to provide a clean finished look to the intake.
Premium Hardware:Premium stainless steel T-bolt clamps and a silicone coupler are used for strength and durability while also providing the most secure installation available. Momentum GT intakes are designed with fewer parts for a quick and simple installation.
Cat Back Exhaust:
The latest Y62 Nissan Patrol, is available with a 5.6L V8 petrol motor only, and has developed a reputation for being a gas-guzzler. A prime reason for this is the overly-restrictive factory exhaust system, which uses no fibreglass packing, but rather a complex system of chambers, baffles and valves to control the exhaust noise.
As a result, the fuel economy suffers as the engine is unable to breathe properly, and the exhaust note is wheezy, and hardly befitting of a V8.
The newly developed Manta exhaust system runs from the cats back, in dual 2.5″ mandrel bent pipe-work, and then into single 3″ pipe-work, with two straight-through glass packed mufflers to keep the noise down.
The result is a fantastic sounding exhaust note, that is not loud at all and far from instrusive inside the cabin. Best of all, the free-flowing design gives a dynoed increase of up to 22hp, while simultaneously reducing fuel consumption by up to 4L/100km.
The system has been specially developed with a 2 piece rear section design to allow fitment to vehicles with a long range tank. While the cat back delivers the best sound, the centre muffler delete is an alternative option which retains the rear section of the factory exhaust, but still gives the benefit of bigger pipe work off the cats, and a straight through centre muffler.
